INDICATIONS
Diltiazem is employed to treat hypertension (blood pressure), angina (chest pain), and certain heart rhythm disorders.
INSTRUCTIONS
Take diltiazem just as prescribed from your doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts or more than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label.
Your doctor may occasionally improve your dose to ensure that you obtain the best results.
Take diltiazem which has a full glass of water. Do not crush, chew, break, or open an extended-release tablet or capsule. Swallow it whole. Breaking or opening the pill may cause excessive drug to be released in the past.
If you've got trouble swallowing a diltiazem capsule whole, ask your doctor or pharmacist when it is safe so that you can open the capsule and sprinkle the medicine in to a spoonful of applesauce to produce swallowing easier. STORAGE
Store this medicine at room temperature in the tightly-closed container, faraway from heat and light-weight. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
